About
Dr. Wendy Ellis is an associate professor and Director of Reading in the College of Education at Harding University in Searcy, AR. She has been teaching literacy classes for over 17 years. Her teaching responsibilities consist of teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in writing, literacy theories, and best practice methodologies which will prepare candidates for careers as Reading Specialists, Dyslexia Interventionists, or literacy leaders in their schools. Currently, she also serves as a literacy consultant for schools in Arkansas and Tennessee. Prior to working at Harding University she worked at the Arkansas Department of Education as a literacy specialist and has taught in both public and private elementary schools. She believes that teaching is a calling and that it is a blessing to serve others through the gift of teaching.
