Dr. Patten has been working in the fields of counseling and education for the last 30 years. During this time, he has served as a therapist, leader and educator. Currently he is the Associate Dean in the Cannon-Clary College of Education at Harding University and also serves as the Chair of the Department of Mental Health and Wellness. He has served as a Professor of Counselor Education for the past 20 years.
Dr. Patten has a variety of experience working with traumatized children and their families in addition to working with adult issues especially depression and anxiety. He continues to work in private practice serving those in his community and around the world focusing on missionary and counselor care.
His hobbies include international travel and exploring the forest and rivers of his home state of Arkansas. His greast joy comes from spending quality time with his wife, Felicia Patten, and their three grown children: Asher, Sienna, and Sydney.
