About
I grew up in Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma majoring in mathematics and secondary teaching. After moving to Arkansas and getting my masters, I began teaching college students as an adjunct. As an assistant professor I love teaching math courses that help college students develop confidence in their math skills for the area of their major studies.
I am also the Director of the Academic Resources (ARC) at Harding. In the ARC I oversee undergraduate academic coaching/counseling, peer-to-peer tutoring and Supplemental Instruction.
I have been married to Bryan Phillips, Exercise Science professor, since August of 1985. It has been an exciting journey with Bryan and I look forward to many more. We have two grown children Matt and Kathryn. Matt's wife Taylor is expecting our first grandchild in March of 2023 in Gaineville, Florida. Our daughter Kathryn is married to Romas Roberson and they are busy with their careers and dog, Zurrie, in Edmond, Oklahoma.
